A Lovely First Day

Primary School Playground Primary School Playground

Monday was the first day of the 2012 school year at Kerang Christian College. Students arrived at school with smiles on their faces and were excited to be here. We had students walking and riding bikes to school, while others arrived on busses and many were dropped off at school by their parents. Our Prep parents enjoyed a morning tea in the Staff Room before they left their precious Preps at school for their first big day. Every student met their new teachers and new friends at a school assembly. The students clapped and welcomed all of the new students at the College. The school is truly alive with the arrival of all of our students.

There is already excitement building in anticipation of school events scheduled for Term 1. The Primary School Swimming Lessons and Zone Swimming Trials are both quickly approaching. Year 7 Camp is also just a few weeks away. Quality learning activities are taking place in all of our classrooms as the College launches into the new school year.

The first newsletter for the year was sent home on Wednesday. The College newsletter is sent home every Wednesday to all families in the College community. The newsletter contains details of many of the events and programs happening at the College. It is the main way the College communicates information with families.

The school year has officially started and our students are already learning and participating in many classroom activities. We look forward to a successful year at Kerang Christian College.
