A Lovely First Day

Monday was the first day of the 2012 school year at Kerang Christian College. Students arrived at school with smiles on their faces and were excited to be here. We had students walking and riding bikes to school, while others arrived on busses and many were dropped off at school by their parents. Our Prep parents enjoyed a morning tea in the Staff Room before they left their precious Preps at school for their first big day. Every student met their new teachers and new friends at a school assembly. The students clapped and welcomed all of the new students at the College. The school is truly alive with the arrival of all of our students. There is already excitement building in anticipation of school events scheduled for Term 1. Preparing for the 2012 School Year

Welcome back! I hope you have all enjoyed the summer holidays. This year we will welcome over 80 students to school at Kerang Christian College. We have many students returning and a number of new students too. We are also excited to welcome Miss Shirley Wu to our teaching staff. Our teaching staff are already beginning to arrive back at school. We will be officially welcoming all staff on January 30. Our students commence Prep to Year 8 studies at Kerang Christian College on Monday, February 6. Work has continued at Kerang Christian College during January and right now the place is busy as the final touches are being applied in readiness for the return of our students. About Mr Michael Bond


Michael was appointed in 2012 and will oversee the growth of the College as it expands further into Secondary School.

Michael has worked in Government and Independent Christian schools and has taught in Australia and the United States of America. He has a Master of Science in Education specialising in K-6 Education and a Bachelor of Information Systems degree with majors in Electronic Commerce and Logic and Philosophy of Science. Michael has professional interests in curriculum development, gifted and talented education and the use of standardised testing in education. He is also interested in the successful transition of students between Primary and Secondary schooling.
